These two pictures were taken on the 18th when he celebrated with his class at school.
It's hard to believe Ash is officially 8 years old!
The night before his birthday, friends spent the night (Kyrra & Tegan). He opened gifts right away in the morning. Their mom, Nichole, brought donuts over in the morning and then we went to church. After church, we had lunch at a Mexican restaurant that he picked because he knows how much Macie & I love it there. He's so sweet to think of others on his special day! Afterwards, Tegan came home with us - we went by Wal Mart super quick, then came home where they played, we had cupcakes and ended the day. I realized I hadn't gotten a pic in with my birthday boy so I sneaked this one with him asleep.

My 28th Birthday

I feel weird writing about myself, but figure it would be something my kids would enjoy one day. Was blessed by a sweet gift from my kiddos in the morning and also a gift from Wanda, Gloria's mom. At work Nichole surprised me with that plant and card, and various cards throughout the day - even signed by our co-workers! Nichole picked up my kids after she got off and feed them, she also got things for a fruit salad which is what I wanted instead of cake. When I got off work, we all went for a walk by the Missouri River followed by coming to our place for fruit salad. Yum!
At church today I witnessed the sweetest thing. These are the moments that make parents proud. These are the moments when you see heart change in your child on their own doing. Zeke tithed his birthday money. I couldn't believe it. I hadn't discussed him doing that, but on his own he chose to do that. Oh my heart! So proud of my 12 year old and how he is starting to GET it!
